Green Home Chicago™ is the online home of Celeste Karan, Realtor, GRI a specialist in green and energy efficient homes in the Chicagoland area. Green Home Chicago provides resources for builders and developers as well as home buyers and sellers.
This site is primarily dedicated to two goals:
- To help building professionals understand the market need for energy efficient buildings of the highest possible quality, and
- To help home buyers understand what truly constitutes a "green building."
This site offers an introductory view of the practical realities of building green in Chicagoland, and information regarding the basic tenents of green building and a specific philosophy regarding the most scientifically and economically sound choices relating to these. Recent additions include a blog and a page highlighting properties for sale that we consider to be truly "green."
